Whats is Gina 10mcg?

Gina 10mcg Vaginal Tablets have been specially designed for women aged 50 years old and over, who have not had a period for at least one year, and are experiencing symptoms of vaginal atrophy due to low oestrogen.

Vaginal atrophy (VA) is caused by low oestrogen post-menopause and results in thinning tissues, decreased flexibility, decreased elasticity, and decreased mucus production in the vagina. Symptoms of vaginal atrophy can include vaginal dryness, itching, soreness, and pain during sex.

It is the first clinically proven HRT treatment available without prescription.

How does Gina 10mcg work?

Gina 10mcg contains the active ingredient Estradiol. Estradiol is an oestrogen and it works by replacing the vaginal oestrogen which is lost post-menopause.

How do I take Gina 10mcg?

There are two doses depending on whether you have previously used Gina or are a first-time user, have been using prescription local oestrogen therapy before, or are restarting treatment after a break.

The two doses are:

• An Initition dose of ONE (10 microgram) tablet to be inserted intravaginally EACH DAY for two weeks. This can be started on any day.
• A maintenance dose of ONE (10 microgram) tablet to to be inserted intravaginally TWICE each week.

If you are just starting off, it can take up to 8-12 weeks before you feel the full benefits.

What are the main side effects of Gina 10mcg?

Common side effects include:

• Headache
• Stomach pain
• Vaginal - bleeding, discharge or discomfort.
