What is Loratadine?
Loratadine reduces the effects of the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose which are associated with hayfever (allergic rhinitis).
Loratadine belongs to a group to a group of medicines called antihistamine which acts to relieve the symptoms of allergies in adults and children over the age of 2 years old who weigh more than 30kg. Antihistamines work to block histamine, meaning that Loratadine tablets directly block the cause of allergic reactions in your body. This is how Loratadine tablets work to provide quick and effective relief to symptoms of hay fever or allergies..
