What does this test look for?
Comprehensive microbiome testing analyses the bacteria in three crucial body ecosystems—your mouth, vagina (if applicable), and gut—using advanced DNA sequencing to map your complete bacterial profile. How Is Shotgun Sequencing Different From Traditional Testing Methods?
Traditional culture-based testing only identifies bacteria that can grow in laboratory culture—typically 20-30% of bacteria present. Shotgun sequencing analyses the entire genetic makeup of your sample by fragmenting all DNA and sequencing every piece. This identifies 90%+ of bacteria present, including unculturable species, rare pathogens, and beneficial organisms missed by traditional methods.
Shotgun sequencing also quantifies bacterial abundance (not just presence/absence) and measures microbiome diversity—crucial indicators of health. This technology provides far more accurate, comprehensive, and clinically useful information than older methods, enabling precise diagnosis and targeted treatment recommendations.

How Do I Collect Samples and What's the Timeline for Results?
Each microbiome uses a simple home collection method:
- Oral microbiome requires a saliva sample
- Vaginal microbiome (women) requires a vaginal swab
- Gut microbiome requires a stool sample.
Instructions are clear and non-invasive. Simply collect samples at home, mail them securely to our laboratory in the prepaid envelopes provided. Processing takes around 3 weeks.
You receive detailed results online showing your complete bacterial profile, health risk assessment, and personalised recommendations. You can access results immediately and download comprehensive reports.

When Will My treatment be delivered?
Orders placed before 2:30pm on a working weekday (Monday to Friday) will be reviewed and if approved sent out the same day. Orders placed after this time or on a weekend will be sent out the next working day if approved
How do I order my Treatment?
You can view a range of conditions that we treat on our website, You will need to complete a short online consultation – which you can do securely and discreetly on our website, before selecting your preferred treatment. You can then checkout and pay for your treatment online. Our prescriber will then review your order and if clinically appropiate they will issue a prescription which our pharmacy will use to dispense your treatment for delivery to any UK address
Where can i get my order delivered to?
We can deliver your order to any UK address including Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
You can also choose to have your order delivered for free to a local Post Office for collection.
We are not able to deliver outside the UK

Yes, our medications are supplied only form genuine UK pharmaceutical wholesalers registered with the MHRA including Alliance Healthcare (Now Cencora) and AAH Pharmaceuticals – two of the biggest wholesalers in the UK
